Requirements
Candidates
applying from foreign countries should belong to any of the
three USA Institutions participating in the program, i.e.,
the National Institutes of Health, the Johns Hopkins University
(Baltimore, MD) or to one of the following: the Universidad
Autonoma de Madrid (Spain), the Centro de Investigaciones
Oncologicas (CNIO, Spain), the Universidade Federal de Sao
Paulo (Brazil), the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of
Yeshiwa University (USA) and the Université Paris XI (France). All candidates
must be eligible for, or participating in a Master of Science
or PhD program in one of the above-mentioned Institutions,
or in Institutions connected with them, or be in possession
of an MD, Master or PhD degree given by one of the above-mentioned
Institutions
Certificate
Upon completion of training, foreign fellows training in Italy
whose thesis is approved by the Board of Teachers of the home
and overseas institutions will receive a certificate stating
they have earned the degree of Dottore di Ricerca in Oncologia
ed Endocrinologia Molecolare [Research Doctorate in Molecular
Oncology and Endocrinology] which is awarded to students who
have completed four-year program including the training received
in the foreign country and that received in Italy
Stipend
Successful candidates will receive approximately Euro 1,500
per month. This amount will amply cover housing and living
expenses in Naples, Genoa and Padua. Health insurance and
insurance against accidents will be provided. No tuition charges
will be levied.
