Dr Bernadette Biondi is a researcher at the Endocrine Division of the Department of Molecular and Clinical Endocrinology and Oncology of the University Federico II Medical School, Naples. She serves on the editorial board of Clinical Endocrinology, and is a reviewer for Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Endocrine Review, The Lancet, European Journal of Endocrinology, European Heart Journal, among others

Research
Her research interests include the pathogenesis, management and long-term consequences of thyroid disease. Her clinical research has concentrated on the cardiovascular effects of thyroid hormone, subclinical thyroid disease and clinical outcomes in patients with thyroid cancer.
Future projects: the evaluation of the effects of new therapeutic strategies to control tumor growth and angiogenesis in thyroid cancer.
